Florida Vacation {2}

We went to Gulf World while we were there and I think, besides the beach, it was my favorite day!

We saw the dolphins up close and personal!

What’s Florida without a Pink Flamingo?!

The dolphin show was amazing!  I got to shake hands with one of them after the show but I don’t have a digital file of that. :(

These were actually nasty feeling…but I had to do it!

After, we went to Ripley’s Believe It or Not and I have to say…the biggest waste of money.

Florida Vacation {1}

We have been back from our vacation to Florida for a couple of weeks and I am just now getting these pictures up. :)   Enjoy!  We had a wonderful time!  There will be 3 posts for this because of the amount of pics I took. :)

{This was the view from our room.}

{We were at the beach 30 minutes after we arrived. :) }

{It was so pretty!  I hadn’t seen the ocean since 1999.}

{This was our condo we stayed at.}

{Classic beach shot.}

{That water was COLD!}

{I was in love with the seagulls.}

{This was the night we almost stayed until dark.}

{This was the view from the pool.}

To Die For!

I found this awesome cake recipe this week while surfing blogs.  I made it tonight for our Thursday night girls night.  It was amazing!  I loved, loved, loved the icing!

Peanut Butter Sheet Cake

Mix in pan and bring to a boil:

1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup water

1/2 cup butter

Sift the following and add to the above mixture:

1 cup sugar

1 cup brown sugar

2 cups flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

Mix and add to the above mixture:

2 eggs

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 tsp vanilla

Stir well and pour into greased or parchment lined cookie sheet pan {jellyroll pan}.  Bake for 15 minutes {I baked it for 13 minutes} at 375 degrees.

Frosting

Mix in pan and bring to a boil:

3/4 cup butter

6 Tbsp buttermilk

1/2 cup peanut butter

Take off stove and add:

3 1/2 cups powdered sugar and 1 Tbsp vanilla.  Pour over warm cake.

I found this recipe on The Girl Who Ate Everything and it was from one of her readers, Nina Jones.

Changes Are Coming :)

As some of you know…I have been in Florida for the past week and have had a lot of time to un-wind and think about business {even though you aren’t supposed to when you are on vacation}.  I have come up with some new terms on payment and scheduling.

Starting March 1st, 2012, the following changes will apply…

  • Payment will be due in full to be able to get on the design schedule.
  • You will have 10 days after payment is received to cancel your order and get a full refund.
  • After the 10 day period, you will be able to cancel up until 7 days of your start date but your refund will be 50% of your payment.
  • If you forfeit your start date within those 7 days, there will be no refund.
  • I will be scheduling every 3 days for new clients instead of 1 per week.

That’s it! :)   It is pretty self explanatory but if you have any questions, please feel free to email me!
